Visualization of NYC School Survey and High Growth schools
This data visualization was created in Tableau. I first created a scatterplot using 8th grade proficiency as the x-axis and 4 year graduation rate as the y-axis. I then found the line of best fit and tagged each high school in NYC with a color depending on how close or far the school was to the line of best fit. Next I graphed each survey question using the same colors. Looking at the results visually, you can get a sense of which questions matched closer with low-to-high growth schools and which questions did not.
